Another reason is the way that the drug makes them feel. Whether the drug is a stimulant or a relaxant, it will alter the chemical make up of the body, causes feelings of euphoria to come over the individual. Teens will begin to crave this feeling after prolonged drug use.

Teens with family members who are drug or alcohol abusers have a much higher risk of being substance abusers themselves.
